An exciting, permanent opportunity has become available for a UX UI Designer role

You will work within cross-functional Agile teams on projects and extensional initiatives to deliver high-quality applications built using using .Net, Sitecore, NodeJS, modern JavaScript frameworks (including ReactJS and AngularJS), and using HTML5, SASS/SCSS.

The UX UI Designer, will be working on a Knowledge Management system, together with an AI-powered knowledge-finding system for supporting agents in messaging channels, with the intention of automating with AI enabled bots that can help customers with tasks that don’t need to be actioned by a person.

This role will be contributing to identifying and defining the problem statements and communicate these in support of the business needs, designing a quality user experience, to drive enhancements and development of new features from User Experience perspective.
You will be working with other team members such as Product Owner, Delivery Manager, Business Analyst, Developers and Testers which will make use of applications mostly built in a Microsoft Technology stack such as Sitecore and Azure, but also other technologies such as NodeJS, and Google cloud platforms.

This UX UI Designer role will be involved working closely with a Senior UX designer and be working across both the UX phase (research deliverables such as interviews and workshops) and the UI stage (Designs, Lo-Fi and/or Hi-Fi protypes, reviews, and reports) as well as interacting with other team members such as developers.

How will I help?
  • Closely working with Senior UX Designer in Agile environment.
  • Analyses and identifies what user's problems are being solved in the next iteration and designs a good user experience to solve those problems
  • Ensure the high quality of responsive UX design.
  • Work with different applications and stakeholders to understand UX issues and actively solve them.
  • Learn and understand existing applications to be able to identify issues and provide solutions with reasonable estimate.
  • Responsible for UX related work activities.
  • Minimises additional effort by designing workflows that leverage existing templates and modules
  • Develops visual design concepts and design assets in time for development
  • Progressively develops a reusable design style kit for the developers to create in HTML and CSS
  • Work with dev teams to confirms the tech feasibility
  • Resolves design issues blocking project delivery for the team
  • Helps with enhancements and development of new features from User Experience perspective.
  • Proactively identifies existing UX issues and provide solutions.
  • Perform usability testing, interviews and gather feedback
  • Estimates UX related works
  • Defines and delivers UI wireframes (High and low, UI sketches and prototypes both static and interactive)
  • Contribute towards UX process improvements
  • Delivery high quality of UI Design of projects in timely manner.

You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time

What do I need?

Qualifications
o Relevant tertiary qualification at degree level and/or extensive relevant experience as detailed above
o 2+ years of experience applying User Centred Design methodologies for responsive applications that leverage emerging technologies, consumer electronics and/or devices

Experience
o Advanced knowledge of UX/UI software – Figma, Sketch, Axure, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or related tools
o Strong understanding of modern software and application development processes and methodologies including front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, CSS3
o Working knowledge of web and mobile app design best practices, focusing on responsive, adaptive, and fluid design across multiple devices and screen types
o Previous experience working in an Agile environment.
o Working knowledge of customer journey mapping
o Experience in creating user flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes
o Understanding of user interface design patterns and standard User Centred Design methodologies
o Ability to convey your ideas via strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
o Ability to manage projects along with a proven ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and react quickly to changes in direction.
o Proficient understanding and working experience of Accessibility standards such AAA, AA etc

Bonus
o Creating information architecture documentation including sitemaps
o Previous experience working with a Knowledgebase product
o Previous experience working with Miro (or equivalent)
o Previous experience working with Sitecore CMS is desirable
o Good understanding of Material UI and Material Design Systems is advantageous
o Good understanding of SEO is advantageous.
o Experience with Google Dialogflow, and any other Bot based AI engine/NLP is advantageous
o Experience with chats messaging systems such as LivePerson/sprinklr is advantageous
o Proficient understanding and working experience of code versioning tools like Git.
